Bharatheeyatha
Bharatheeyatha is an annual event organized by Satsankalpa Foundation primarily to show our gratitude to individuals and organizations upholding Sanāthana Dharma in the United States of America. Having the courage to live in dharma, contributing value not only to oneself but to the society without expecting any reward or recognition is Bharatheeyatha.
Bharatheeyatha, the most opportune name chosen for the event is the basis of Sanāthana Dharma, the ancient and relevant way of life for individuals and communities. It involves the correct attitude in all aspects of our lives that not only ensure a successful living but also a purposeful one. One living such a life is said to be Bharatheeya.
Every year the foundation conducts this event in early summer around May / June and has representation from various states in the US and visitors from many countries including UK and India. This event has three important features: Sivananda Smruthi Puraskar, Theatrical performance and Felicitations.
SIVANANDA Smruthi Puraskar
This is an award to honor the contributions of individuals who have contributed extensively to society in preserving arts, culture and practicing Sanāthana Dharma in their private and public life. Included in this award is a citation that reads the specific contribution of the awardee and a statue of Bharat Mata to represent the spirit of Bharatheeya.
TheATRICAL PERFORMANCE
Deliver the essence and core teachings of Sanāthana Dharma with Nritya (dances) / Nataka (drama) / Natya Kavya (poetic dance) or a similar art form highlighting major incidents from puranas. It includes depicting life story of great saints, sages and mahans while narrating key incidents from history in a theatrical performance .
FELICITATIONS
Various cultural organizations, temples, non-profits, co-operatives that work relentlessly to bring harmony and spread peace in the society are felicitated in this event. These felicitations are a testimony of the invaluable contributions these organizations made to society and facilitate to spread the word for more people to join hands for societal welfare.
